Genre Research: How Are Classic Soul Artists Promoted?

Below I have included screenshots of an interview with a modern day soul Dj who is still a fan of classic soul as well as the more modern takes on the genre. 







































Below is two images of advertisements for Smokey Robinson's a renowned Classic Soul artist. One is for his first single "Sweet Harmony" and the other is for one of his albums "Love Breeze".





While researching advertising I have noticed that most classic soul artists had albums covers that focused on them as the singer and the music. For reference I have included a few of Lionel Richie album covers.
